A woman attacked by Bradley Edwards as she slept in her bed eight years before his alleged murder spree began recounts the encountered the accused serial killer.
She initially thought it was her boyfriend, Paul, who had been at her house earlier in the day and was in a distressed state.
"I said, 'It's OK I won't scream'. I wasn't panicking because I thought it was Paul trying to keep me quiet so we wouldn't wake Mum and Dad up."But the man then stuffed a piece of fabric into her mouth with a"calloused hand, a working hand … not from a man who works in an office," she said.
