A Federal MP has entered self-isolation after dining at the Crossroads Hotel in Casula which has been linked to nine cases of the coronavirus including an 18-year-old staff member.

Anne Stanley said she was following health advice and received a virus test after she ate at the hotel in Sydney’s south-west on Saturday night. Authorities asked more than 1,000 people believed to have visited the hotel between July 3 and July 10 to present themselves for testing and self-isolate.

Premier Gladys Berejkilian warned that anyone who attended the venue during the infectious danger period follow the health advice or risk facing fines. “These are the type of initiatives all of us have to take… otherwise we will go down the path of Victoria,” Ms Berejiklian said. A Planet Fitness gym in Casula also closed its doors after a member tested positive to the virus.
