Queensland Police have found one male with a gunshot wound 'some distance' from the property of an alleged shooting incident which has left 'multiple people' injured.
"Police are currently responding to reports of a shooting of multiple people on a rural property near Collinsville," a statement read.
"One male has been located some distance from the property and is current being treated for a gunshot wound." RACQ CQ Rescue said it had sent two helicopters to the Whitsunday Region after reports four people were injured in an alleged shooting. Members of the public and aircraft have been advised to stay away from the area as it conducts"emergency operations".
