‘Going for the third time’: Tas Labor leader lost last state election ‘quite resoundingly’

University of Tasmania Associate Professor Kate Crowley says the Tasmanian Opposition leader lost “quite resoundingly” at the last state election and is now “going for the third time”.“I feel for both of them,” Ms Crowley told Sky News Australia.

“I feel for the Premier because he had a majority government, so he doesn’t want to be in this position, but two of his MPs defected, he found himself in minority. “Rebecca White – this will be her third election; she stood down as Opposition leader when she lost the last election quite resoundingly, but there was an internal tussle, and she found herself the leader again.
