Additional charter flights are being made available by the Albanese government to help repatriate Australians from Israel.
Foreign Minister Penny Wong and Transport Minister Catherine King announced the extra flights from Tel Aviv on Friday, on top of two Qantas services.
"The Australian government will continue to work on options for onward travel from Dubai and to support those who cannot reach Tel Aviv." Qantas confirmed on Friday it will then fly one of its Airbus A380s with 484 seats from London to Sydney via Singapore on Tuesday for the passengers of the first two flights.
However, Qantas warned that"given the uncertain situation in the region, these flights are subject to ongoing safety and security assessments, and regulatory approvals in several countries".
