More homes across New South Wales are under threat as catastrophic fire danger once again hits the state, with hot, gusty winds and high temperatures taking hold.
Two more families have been left devastated by blazes after firefighters Geoffrey Keaton, 32, and Andrew O'Dwyer, 36, died.The pair, both fathers who volunteered with Horsley Park Rural Fire Brigade, were killed when a tree fell into the path of their tanker, causing it to roll, as they were travelling in a convoy near the town of Buxton late on Thursday night.Members of the Horsley Park RFS remember volunteer firefighters Geoffrey Keaton and Andrew ODwyer.
NSW Health has again urged people to take care as smoke from bushfires continues to lower air quality.
