Active coronavirus case numbers have dropped in 75 per cent of Victoria's postcodes over the past week

Active coronavirus case numbers have dropped in 75 per cent of Victoria's postcodes over the past week, analysis of new Health Department data shows.

In 45 postcodes that had at least one resident infected with COVID-19 last week, the active case tally remained unchanged. Statewide, the number of active coronavirus cases has been steadily decreasing for about a fortnight as new daily case numbers drop. The postcode that recorded the biggest drop in active cases was 3029 , which has 101 fewer active cases than last week.

It’s also worth mentioning that lower active case numbers in a postcode does not necessarily mean no more people tested positive in that area over the past seven days.
