BREAKING: Two new cases of COVID19 in Queensland.
The second case is a Queensland Corrective Services trainer in his 60s, who works at Wacol and lives in Forest Lake. Authorities are yet to determine a link with existing cases in the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre cluster.one case recorded in the state yesterday.
“We can’t identify a clear link with the Detention Centre, however this person lives in Forest Lake and works in Wacol. “It is almost an exact match... we can’t say definitively the two cases are linked, but we can’t say they’re not,” she said.“It won’t give us any more information than what we have.”
Commissioner Peter Martin confirmed all correctional facilities south of Capricornia had been moved to stage 4 lockdowns to protect “correctional staff and inmates”.
