The TV queen sold her Woollahra home for about $23m earlier this year as telling friends it was too big for her.
There were removalists at her house mid-week, but it was family members who had the task of deciding what to do with her late husband John’s car and railway book collection.Inspecting dozens of downsizer apartments, KAK had one special criteria — it had to be a pet friendly for her eight-year- old golden retriever Digger. She’ll be leaving Woollahra after 25 years.
“Quite the contrast to the churn and burn estate agents I’ve encountered over the past six months,” she said.Kerri-Anne Kennerley with her dog “Digger”. Turns out she got her “silly price”, with sources putting the result at between $22m and $23m. Although several prestige agents are known to have been through the property, the deal was done off-market with no sales agents involved. John Kennerley, who died in 2019, had been a model train enthusiast and at one point there were train tracks at chest height and 50cm wide snaking through the house and outside by the pool.
