Employment Minister Tony Burke says Labor’s job now in government is to start “cleaning up the mess” from the former Liberal government amid Australia’s energy crisis.
“Every Australian household now is facing the realities of Australia not having an energy policy for nearly a decade,” he told Sky News Australia.
“We had nearly a decade where the politics was the whole focus, and the policy wasn’t, and that’s paid a price.
