On Wednesday, Chris Bowen was totally engrossed with Liberal leader Peter Dutton’s history of commenting on climate change instead of explaining the government’s plan to meet its emissions reduction targets.

Picture: Jerad Williams Labor has slightly changed tact on the economy now that it can no longer paddle around in the carefree ease that comes from being in opposition.

It will be instructive to see whether Labor keep pushing for wage increases as inflation continues to climb. Despite cost of living being a major issue on the minds of Australians, the biggest “contribution” this government has so far is to get rid of the cashless debit card. In any event, the October budget should be worthwhile viewing to see how Labor choose to manage the economy.
