The CSIRO has released details of 139 new species to have been identified in the past year, including an ant that 'babysits' the caterpillars of a rare butterfly.

"The ants feed on a sugary substance that the caterpillars produce from glands. The ants get this nice sugary secretion and the butterflies get protection."
