Lebanon's Prime Minister — who was forced to step down following protests against the country's collapsing economy — is expected to be reappointed to the role.

More than 130 protesters have been injured after thousands of people in Lebanon defiantly returned to the streets to rally against the Government in Beirut, amid news the country's Prime Minister, who resigned two months ago, will again take up the job.

Many people in the crowd raised Lebanese flags and chanted:"We won't leave, we won't leave. Just arrest all the protesters!".
