The Daily Telegraph’s Tim Blair says Liz Cheney was meant to be representing Wyoming, but instead she went to Washington and she “represented the swamp”.
Ms Cheney is no longer a member of Congress after she was easily defeated by attorney Harriet Hageman in the Republican primary for Wyoming’s sole congressional seat.
Speaking to Sky News Australia, Mr Blair discussed Ms Cheney’s defeat saying Wyoming “turned on her”. “Two years ago, she won a primary in Wyoming with about 73 per cent of the vote – 73 per cent, Wyoming is a very Republican state,” Mr Blair told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
