A man officially categorised as a 'high-risk offender' pleads not guilty to threatening to kill two women in Tasmania, but pleads guilty to separate charges of breaching bail conditions.

Nathan Michael Green, who is the subject of a court-imposed "high-risk offender order", is accused of making written threats to murder two women. The 38-year-old has been remanded in custody pending future court appearances, the first of which is next month.

Earlier this year, Green was charged with two counts of making "written threats to murder" while he was in the Hobart suburb of Risdon Vale in June and November last year. His initial application for bail was rejected by the Hobart Magistrates Court, but after appealing against that decision in the Supreme Court, he was granted bail on April 23.

One day later, he allegedly left the property without the approval of a probation officer, which was also contrary to the conditions. Magistrate Chris Webster then read out the complaint, telling the court Green had been accused of wilfully trying to intimidate two women when he allegedly wrote threats to murder them. The threat-to-kill charges will be dealt with in the Supreme Court on August 6."I'd rather be in jail. The breach offences will be dealt with in the Hobart Magistrates Court on July 8.Today, Magistrate Webster told him: "If you want to get a lawyer, I suggest you get one.
