Police believe the two men had been assaulted by a third man, who had fled the scene.
were called to the scene at Nambour Train station about 3.15pm yesterday after receiving reports of an alleged assault between two people.
Officers discovered a 39-year-old Two Mile man, who had sustained serious injuries, and a 33-year-old Maroochydore man, who had sustained minor injuries.The 39-year-old man was rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with serious injuries, where he remains."It was seemingly random attacks on these two victims and appears to have been unprovoked at this stage," Senior Sergeant Mansfield told reporters today.
"We are concerned. He seemingly looked under the influence of some substances and was behaving quite erratically at the scene.Mansfield confirmed there were no weapons involved."He was seemingly unconscious on the ground and then he continued to kick him in the head and the back.Police are searching for the third man involved, who is described as Caucasian in appearance, and was wearing a grey jumper, dark shorts, and thongs.
