Pill testing has been thrust back into the spotlight after a man died from a suspected drug overdose at a music festival in the New South Wales Riverina region at the weekend.
The 24-year-old man attended the Strawberry Fields Music Festival and presented to a medical tent on Sunday morning, after consuming drugs GHB, MDMA and Cocaine.
The man entered cardiac arrest and was treated by medical staff, but died a short time after. The state government has been urged to implement changes to prevent more deaths after a tragic start to Australia's summer music festival season. Image: Getty
