Police responded to reports of a distressed woman in Belmore on Wednesday morning.
A mother of five has been found dead inside a unit in Sydney’s south-west, with police suspecting she was murdered by her partner, a man with a long history of violence and apprehended violence orders.
Police arrested a 35-year-old man at Denham Court a short time later. He is currently being interviewed by detectives from the homicide squad. Multiple AVO have been taken to protect her and other relatives after he made threats to kill and became paranoid about other men.Credit:He was charged with assaulting her in 2020, and an AVO was made to protect the woman then, and again in August this year, court files reveal.Knox Street has been taped off, and police are moving door to door, questioning neighbours.the woman was a mother of five whose children often ran around the apartment making noise.
