WA Premier Mark McGowan has mandated a third COVID booster shot for all workers included in the current vaccine mandate.
Workers who are already subject to a COVID vaccine mandate must get their third booster shot within one month of becoming eligible, Mr McGowan said in a press conference on Wednesday afternoon. “WA is in the best position possible to prepare for the virus, but the virus will find those who are not vaccinated.
There are 266,000 WA workers eligible for a third dose of a COVID vaccine, 89,000 of whom have already received their booster shot.The premier has also tightened border restrictions with the Northern Territory and Tasmania.
