Police are on the hunt for eight fugitives with gang affiliations following four shootings in as many days in Dandenong, Meadow Heights and Kensington.
A series of murders in Melbourne has seen four people killed, sparking fears of a second gangland war.
The notorious gangland war erupted among rivals in Melbourne's underworld in 1995 and lasted 12 years, leaving 36 gangsters shot dead. Crime Command acting Assistant Commissioner Michael Frewen has confirmed police are pursuing gangland links, saying they are 'exploring all avenues'. Image: News Corp Australia
