The alleged misconduct occurred at a Rosehill nursing home in mid-2020, when the virus tore through aged care facilities in Victoria.

WorkSafe brought the charges on Tuesday, just a week after it charged

The watchdog has charged her with breaching two sections of Victoria’s Occupational Health and Safety Act: first, by allegedly recklessly placing others in danger of serious injury by going to work after recording a positive PCR test and, second, by failing to take reasonable care for the health and safety of people at her workplace.

An earlier WorkSafe investigation of the 2020 Menarock virus outbreak found the company had not breached OHS rules and had provided “extensive training” to staff about COVID-19.
