Queensland Premier Steven Miles and Liberal National Party leader David Crisafulli are facing off in their final debate before the state election.
Queensland Premier Steven Miles and Liberal Nationals Party leader David Crisafulli have squared off in their final debate before the state election.
The incumbent Premier will be hoping his debate performance can turn the tide on what many analysts had previously thought would be an easy win for Mr Crisafulli. "The voters can ask questions about any issue they like. It’s unscripted and unpredictable which makes these debates such a challenge to navigate for leaders."
He promoted his policies of 50c public transport fares, the $1000 energy rebate and $200 FairPlay youth sporting vouchers. He highlighted his plans for cheaper energy, state-owned petrol stations, bulk-billing GP clinics.I have a plan to keep supporting you with the cost of living now, as well as deliving what matters for our states future,"Queensland Liberal National Party Leader David Crisafulli made his closing remarks and pushed his campaign to give Queenslanders a fresh start.
Mr Crisafulli argued the housing crisis was caused by supply issues and claimed he would partner with local councils to boost development."I can tell you, I would never embark on daylight savings because I know what it means to people in country Queensland," Mr Crisafulli said.
