"It is essentially extending those arrangements for partners who don't live in the same household to those who live on their own." There are no immediate changes to current rules in regional Victoria, and Mr Andrews said authorities will assess the numbers over the next fortnight. There could be exceptions to the rule, though — Mr Andrews flagged that some regional areas are "on close watch" and might have to wait longer than others if cases can't be brought under control.

Victoria's roadmap out of restrictions explained | Sky News AustraliaVictorians will remain under the toughest lockdown rules in the country for even longer, with the premier confirming what many feared as he unveiled a four-step roadmap out.\n\nFrom September 14 the curfew will be eased from 9:00PM to 5:00AM, outdoor gatherings will increase up to two people, single households will be able to have one visitor with no radius limit applying and exercising will also increase to two hours per day.\n\nFrom September 28, if cases drop to between 30 and 50 on average across the 14 days, will see outdoor gatherings increase to five people, childcare will open, schools will have a phased return and outdoor training groups of up to two people will be permitted.\n\nAlso on September 14 Regional Victoria, which is currently on stage three restrictions, will go straight to the second step of the roadmap.\n\nFrom October 26 if there are under five daily cases for 14 days, including less than five mystery cases, curfew will be lifted, there will be no restrictions on leaving home, outdoor gathering of 10 people, five people can visit households and outdoor exercise of 10 people.\n\nAlso under this third step for Metro Melbourne are weddings up to 10 people and funerals of 20 people, some interstate travel, accommodations reopen, outdoor café seating in groups of 10 and hairdressers.\n\nThe last step, from November 23 if there are no cases for 14 days across the state, will see outdoor gatherings increase to 50 people, home visitors up to 20, relaxed wedding and funeral limits, no exercise restrictions and sport returning.\n
