Queensland Police are desperately seeking information over the death of a 61-year-old man who died after colliding with a vehicle on his motorcycle.

Queensland Police confirmed the incident struck at 7pm when a blue Holden Commodore sedan collided with a black Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The sedan was travelling east along Dawson Highway near Far Street while towing a small box trailer, when the crash occurred with the motorcycle travelling in the same direction. The driver of the vehicle and several bystanders raced to perform first aid but the motorcyclist, a 61-year-old man from South Gladstone, died at the scene.
