One dead, child critical after crash in north-west Sydney | daniellamariewh
One person has died and a child was critically injured in a car crash in Sydney’s north-west on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Castlereagh Road in Agnes Banks, near Richmond, about 4pm to reports that a Holden Commodore and a Nissan utility had collided.Police said the driver of the Holden, a man believed to have been aged in his 40s, died at the scene. The sole passenger of the Holden, a 10-year-old boy, was taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition.
The driver and sole occupant of the Nissan, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.Police established a crime scene and have started an investigation. “As inquiries continue, anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact police immediately,” NSW Police said in a statement.
