Natalie Cassells of Cassells Fitness wants to turn the currently vacant office space at Queenslie Court into a business that will 'have a long-term positive impact on the people in the area'.
The application, submitted by Natalie Cassells of Cassells Fitness, to Glasgow City Council would see the currently vacant office space at 4 Queenslie Court on Summerlee Street transformed into a "business that is a pillar in the community". The proposal adds that it involves "converting [the] floorspace to a fitness gym without affecting the exterior or car parking areas but utilising the existing provisions".
It reads: "This proposal aims to enhance the physical and mental health and the overall well-being of the local community, residents, and workforce in Muirhead and its surrounding areas."This proposal has an opportunity to really make a difference and have a long-term positive impact on the people in the area. Over time we will improve the overall health and well-being of the surrounding communities.
It adds that it will "continue to challenge the gender gap in sport and physical activity, providing women and girls with the opportunity to thrive in a gym environment", with 91 per cent of current members at Cassells Fitness made up of females.
