Our client is urgently looking to employ a NOC Engineer at their organization3 years of experience in a NOC role, with at least one network qualification.Solid understanding of IP networking, dynamic routing protocols, and ISP design networks.
Expertise in network topology, including access and core networks, and the impact of failures on link capacity and upstream/downstream nodes. Capability to manage escalations in the absence of the NOC Manager and oversee infrastructure team responses.A strong foundation in networking at the CCNP level. As a Network Engineer you should possess these skills and competencies to effectively manage and optimize the network infrastructure at a Tier 3 level.Monitor Field Team groups for escalations and assistance requests, including switch renaming, device connection issues, and bespoke requests.Alert the Internal NOC group of any offline sites/sectors at the start and end of shifts. Utilize PRTG to identify frequent sector issues and add problematic customers for connection tracking .Escalate down, flapping, or restoring sites to the Internal NOC and Tower Down group, unless instructed otherwise or unsure of the outage reason. Assist Area Managers by addressing specific client issues, even if not through APEX, based on direct contact with the client.Provide assistance on Apex with complex issues escalated from Senior engineers related to network quality, VPN, VoIP, or cloud-related faults raised by customers.Migrate clients to sectors with available capacity and collaborate with mast engineers to plan and implement new sectors.Desired Skills:
