Liberal Senator James Paterson says it is “notoriously difficult” to secure a free trade agreement with the EU but welcomes further progress to secure the deal under the Albanese government.
He said the Liberal government launched the European free trade agreement negotiations in 2018, and “substantial
progress” has been made since then.“It’s a really important part of diversifying Australia’s international trade.”
