NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has urged people to wear masks in supermarkets and on public transport after 17 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the state.A further eight cases have been linked to the Sydney CBD cluster which broke out last month and another six have been linked to St Paul's Catholic College in Greystanes in Western Sydney.There are now a total of 49 cases associated with the CBD cluster and 10 linked to St Paul's.

The Premier also announced a new coordinated approach for all major events to be planned across the state. "Of course controlling the virus spread is a priority but so is getting life to as normal as possible and doing everything in a COVID-safe way."
