One of the most touching elements of an already achingly beautiful story is how these three women deal with an unwanted pregnancy. It's a plot point that takes them beyond the walls of their solitary mansion to meet a group of local women healers, another mythic shadow. "They're also just hanging out, sharing everyday life by a fire, so the scene plays with that imagery and also tries to quit it. It's playing on both levels."
