Police say a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Nissan Navara were involved in the crash on the Great Central Road at Tjukayirla, 170 kilometres south-west of WarburtonPolice said the driver and three other passengers in the car had been seriously injured, while a fourth passenger "appears to have not been seriously injured".
Police, St John Ambulance, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service were sent to the remote crash site after an emergency beacon was activated about 8am.A third RFDS jet was on stand-by at Warburton to take one of the patients who is reported to have more serious injuries direct to Perth. Police said the driver of the Land Cruiser did not appear to be seriously injured and was being taken to hospital by road.
Major Crash Investigation Section officers from Perth will travel to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
