Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack says Annastacia Palaszczuk “didn’t do herself any favours” last week by talking about Queensland hospitals only for Queenslanders. “We are all in this together we have to be in this together,” Mr McCormack told Sky News. “We are all Australians and we are in this together, it shouldn’t be political.” Ms Palaszczuk last week said in a statement “People living in NSW have NSW hospitals.
In Queensland we have Queensland hospitals for our people”. “She’s also doing it because she has an October 31 election,” Mr McCormack said. “We need to make sure if we can, and I appreciate it’s the remit of the premiers. “If at all possible we should ease those border restrictions but make it certainly easier through the best health medical advice. “We can’t just put a wrecking ball through the state economies and then expect everything to be alright out the other side.
