Minister for Education Jason Clare has revealed changes to the pension are being considered by the Albanese Government so that skilled pensioners and veterans can help fix national labour shortages.

Figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics in June stated there were 480,100 job vacancies in Australia - marking a 111.1 per cent increase since February 2020 and indicating the job market has not recovered since the pandemic.
