NSW Labor leader Chris Minns has delivered a scathing assessment of Dominic Perrottet’s short time in office, declaring the recent by-election results a message to the Premier to “lift his game”.
Four by-elections were held over the weekend in what was billed as the first test for the two new party leaders, but the government suffered significant swings against it.

Try 1 month free now Mr Minns said the results served as a “direct message” to Mr Perrottet to “lift his game” and listen to experts on issues which directly affect NSW residents, particularly cost of living.
“Everybody’s done it so tough over the last two years, I would have thought it’s the job of the NSW government to make life a little bit easier for families and businesses and front-line workers and yet he seems intent on pursuing decisions that are difficult and that the public don’t like.Mr Minns said despite clear message from regional and inner Sydney voters on the weekend, the Premier has said: “No full steam ahead, I’m going to continue to make unpopular decisions”.
