New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced a major Cabinet reshuffle – establishing his team to take to the 2023 state election.
The changes will see nine first-time ministers installed – while women will make up just over a quarter of roles – the highest of any Coalition government since 2011.In the most significant move Deputy Premier Paul Toole will become Police Minister – seeing David Elliot move to Transport.
Deputy Liberals Leader Stuart Ayres will reclaim the Sport ministry – while Treasurer Matt Kean will lose his Environment portfolio to Manly MP James Griffin.
