The Perth Wildcats risk playing a crucial home final away from their usual venue, RAC Arena, due to a scheduling conflict with concerts by Bryan Adams and Kylie Minogue. The Wildcats' owner, Mark Arena, has expressed his frustration and disappointment with RAC Arena management over the situation.

A scheduling conflict with upcoming concerts by Bryan Adams and Kylie Minogue could force the Perth Wildcats to relocate their home final from the RAC Arena if they finish third or fifth on the NBL ladder. The Wildcats, currently holding the third spot, face Adelaide in their final regular season game at home on Friday night. However, RAC Arena is already booked for the Bryan Adams concert on Sunday, followed by the handover to Minogue for her February 15th show.

This means the Wildcats, who would normally draw over 13,000 fans to RAC Arena for a finals game, might have to shift to the Perth High Performance Centre, which has a significantly smaller capacity of about 4500.Minogue secured RAC Arena as the venue for her Australian tour opener last September. The scheduling clash has sparked outrage amongst the Wildcats, with owner Mark Arena publicly criticizing RAC Arena management. “It’s not a done deal but basically she’s playing on Saturday night and they’ve booked the whole week,” Arena stated in a club press release. “RAC Arena in their infinite wisdom has decided, we’re going to book the whole of the first week of finals out at RAC Arena. “I’m super disappointed, super mad. We’re the anchor tenant there. “You do really well on the ladder and you want a home-court advantage, and we’re going potentially to Perth HPC.” The Wildcats last played at the Perth High Performance Centre during the 2011-12 season, when the venue was known as Challenge Stadium. The facility has hosted two NBL games featuring visiting teams during the inaugural HoopsFest round in September 2023. With 10,837 members and an average attendance of 13,125 across four home games in 2025, the potential impact on fans is significant. “The amount of members that might miss out on this, I feel really bad for them and I’m just as mad as they are,” Arena expressed. “It was quite a heated conversation with RAC Arena. “I’m super frustrated with it, we’re supposed to be the anchor tenant there and I don’t feel like we’re being treated that way.” As the season concludes, the Wildcats could realistically land anywhere between second and fifth on the NBL ladder. A second-place finish would allow them to bypass the potential scheduling conflict and host their first home final after Minogue's concert
