“I was hoping that it starts getting hot but it’s the opposite,” said Peter Abongo who lives in DuPont.
“Not a very warm welcome. I’m ready for the spring, I’ll tell you that much,” said Gilmore.“Actually, I had a surprising amount of snow on my car this morning,” said Gilmore.“The roads are a little icy. We were driving cautiously on the freeway. I think the average speed was about 45,” said Gilmore.“There was a lot of snow when I walk out in the morning, my car was covered in snow,” said Abongo.
The snow forced many school districts in Pierce County to start late, and further South even heavier snow forced schools in Olympia, Bremerton, and Hood Canal to cancel classes.
