Queensland is bracing itself to top 100 cases on Wednesday, with the state recording its highest tally yesterday at 86.

The number of people subject to quarantine notices has soared by more than 600, with Queensland likely to top 100 cases on Wednesday.

On Tuesday afternoon, there were 4687 people subject to quarantine notices, but by Wednesday morning, that number had soared to 5297.
