Queensland records 3,118 new COVID cases, one person in ICU
There are a total of 126 people in Queensland hospitals with COVID for a variety of reasons, but Dr Gerrard said there were only a small number of patients being treated for "significant illness".
"It is likely that we see at least half or the majority of those hospitalised will have received the vaccine.Another 2,227 people with COVID are being treated at home. "We expect the proportion of staff being quarantined to reduce but there will still be large numbers because there will be more exposures, because there will be more cases," Dr Gerrard said.People feeling unwell told to avoid New Year's Eve celebrations
