The Queensland Premier returned from her holiday in Italy determined defy poor opinion polls.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says she is determined to lead the Labor Party to next year’s election, despitewhile she was on a two-week overseas holiday, Ms Palaszczuk said she had returned to work ready to stay in the job she has held since 2015.AAP
But she promised to “explain herself better” to her colleagues and Queenslanders in the lead-up to next October’s state election after growing concerns about the health system, youth justice and housing.“No one has said anything to me, but my door is always open. I will continue to be a consultative premier,” she said.
She brushed aside a string of opinion polls showing the Liberal National Party is on track to win government for the first time since 2012.
