To feel alone in your own world is a normal way of life for many deaf children.
Normally, they would visit the kids in the community for face-to-face activities but COVID has forced them to interact online instead. "For 95 per cent of deaf children, they are the only member of their family with the condition so that can add to their sense of isolation," Wilson says.
