A leading IT solutions company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role demands expertise in designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting intricate network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of their networks, while also playing a crucial role in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities include optimizing network performance for enhanced customer satisfaction, configuring and managing diverse network devices, designing resilient network architectures, and implementing robust security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs. Promptly diagnosing and resolving network incidents to minimize service disruptions is paramount. Maintaining comprehensive documentation of configurations, diagrams, and procedures will be essential for effective troubleshooting and planning. Collaboration on infrastructure projects involving upgrades, migrations, and expansions is also expected. The successful candidate will liaise with third-party vendors for onboarding and troubleshooting, implement changes adhering to standardized processes, and meticulously document them. A strong understanding of routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, IBGP, STP, and VXLAN is required, along with experience in configuring and monitoring PPPOE server pools for customer connection authentication. Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment are valued attributes. To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications in MikroTik (MTCNA, MTCRE) and Huawei (HCIA, HCIP) are highly desirable. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or similar roles is essential, along with expertise in OSPF, BGP, STP, and PPPOE configurations. A profound understanding of network security principles and the ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively are crucial.
