Seven men aged between 20 and 35-years-old have been charged after police were left 'fearing for their lives' during an operation at a Colo property north west of Sydney on Sunday.
As part of investigations into planned unauthorised protest activity, police were deployed to the property on Putty Road at Colo on Sunday, where a group of around 40 members were gathered.
Police allege shortly after arriving at the camp they were “surrounded by a group of people” who then damaged the tyres of an unmarked police car making it “undriveable”. Acting Assistant Commissioner Paul Dunstan said officers “feared for their lives” after they were"pushed, shoved and jostled" as they walked back to their vehicle.
