Liberal Senator and former ambassador to Israel Dave Sharma has accused the Albanese government of 'rewarding acts of terror' after it supported a United Nations vote to recognise Palestinian sovereignty.

The Coalition has lashed out at the government after it backed a United Nations vote on Palestinian sovereignty over resources in occupied Palestinian territories, describing the move as"shameful".Liberal Senator and former ambassador to Israel Dave Sharma has accused the Albanese government of"rewarding acts of terror" after it supported a United Nations vote to recognise Palestinian sovereignty.

Australia also backed another resolution which demanded compensation from Israel over an oil spill which affected Lebanon in 2006.
