There is a close watch on the spread of Omicron in Sydney after several venues were exposed to the new COVID strain.
Residents who visited Parramatta’s Albion Hotel between 11pm on December 3 and 3am on December 4 – or from 4.30pm to closing time on December 5 – is considered a close contact and must get tested and isolate immediately.
The same applies to anyone who attended Cult Nightclub at Potts Point between 9.45pm on December 4 and 3am on December 5. NSW Health says the venues may have been visited by Omicron cases linked to an outbreak on a Sydney Harbour boat party on December 3. A total of eleven people contacted the virus on the cruise – three of which are confirmed to have the Omicron variant.
