He was discovered down an embankment in the early hours of Thursday on Minnies Road near the coastal town of Wynyard.Police have asked anyone who saw a red Honda quad bike in the area on Wednesday afternoon to contact them. There was a quad bike crash at nearby Oldina in November which killed a 16-year-old boy and badly injured his 16-year-old female passenger.

In February, a 14-year-old girl died after crashing the 4x4 Polaris Ranger she was driving on a private property at Bridgewater, north of Hobart. A nine-year-old girl was killed in July when she was thrown from a quad bike while travelling as a passenger on a popular mountain track south of Perth.
