Android users are about to welcome a new way of paying with their phones as the Google Pay app disappears and is replaced by Google Wallet. 7NEWS
Google Wallet will hold things such as movie tickets, transit passes, rewards cards, IDs and vaccination certificates, as well as tracking your receipts.
In the US and Singapore, Google Pay and Google Wallet will both remain rather than becoming one - and Google Pay will be used in those countries to send money to friends.The rollout of the new Google Wallet will begin on Wednesday for most of the world, with just a couple of exceptions.Not all features are available in every region, but Google says it will be rolling them out in the coming months.The future of Google Wallet is likely to include further integration into the other apps.
