Small business owner and Action for Alice founder Darren Clark has revealed the reality of life inside Alice Springs following the introduction of a drastic nightly curfew to combat youth crime.

The business owner told Chris Kenny that things have been “pretty quiet” in recent evenings after the nightly curfew went into effect across the city centre.Despite the measures, Mr Clark revealed youths still managed to break into two small businesses on the periphery of the curfew zone, including a local camping shop where the thieves took weapons.
The activist called on the NT government to consider expanding the curfew zone to include surrounding neighbourhoods.
