Major crash detectives are hunting a driver who left an injured teen bleeding by the side of the road after a collision in Perth’s southern suburbs just four days before Christmas. 7NEWS

Ben Cossington, 16, thought he was going to die after he was knocked off his bike at the Rowley and Lyon roads roundabout in Wandi about 8.13pm on December 21.>>

Incredibly, the teen managed to regather himself and walk home before he was taken to hospital by family and treated for internal bleeding, bruising and cuts.“Everything was ringing. I was on the road for 10 seconds and someone pulled over.” He needed surgery and spent a week in hospital, yet more than two weeks on the driver has still not come forward.Police believe a silver Toyota LandCruiser travelling west on Rowley Rd was the car that collided with the teen.

“I just remember looking to my left and had plenty of time to slow down and they just sped through,” Cossington said. Making the search for the car more difficult is that the busy intersection is a surveillance blindspot.
