Two men and one woman have suffered serious burns injuries while fighting the Balmoral fire near the Bargo area of New South Wales. A 36-year-old man and a 56-year-old man have suffered face and airway burns and will be airlifted for treatment. Another female crew member has smoke inhalation and minor burns and will be transported by road to hospital for treatment and assessment.

Over 100 fires are burning across the state and dozens of homes have been lost, with extreme heat and strong winds fanning flames. Two emergency warnings at Currowan and Tianjara have been downgraded but two emergency warnings remain in place at Green Wattle Creek and Gospers Mountain. There are concerns the Green Wattle Creek fire will head towards town of Tarmoor due to a southerly change in the wind.
